Trevor Daniels, a motorcyclist from Kairuni on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, tragically died on Sunday following a collision with a motorcar in Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
According to police reports, the car, identified as PXX 5812, was being driven by a female resident of Central Amelia’s Ward. Daniels was traveling east along the northern side of Amelia’s Ward Public Road at reportedly high speed when the car emerged from a northern parking lot and collided with the front of his motorcycle.
The impact caused Daniels to fall onto the roadway, where he sustained serious injuries. He was promptly assisted by bystanders and transported to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Unfortunately, Daniels succumbed to his injuries on Sunday at approximately 17:30 hrs while receiving medical care.
A breathalyzer test on the driver of the motorcar indicated a reading of 0%, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
