Authorities in Region Two are investigating the alleged murder of 57-year-old Leslie Edwards, also known as “Bumpy.” The incident occurred at about 2:10 PM on Friday at his home in Capoey Mission, Essequibo Coast, during an argument with his 59-year-old brother.

Reports indicate that the altercation escalated, leading the suspect to arm himself with a garden hoe and strike his brother multiple times. When police arrived at the scene, they found Edwards lying motionless in the yard. He was rushed to Suddie Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body has since been transferred to the mortuary at Suddie Public Hospital, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The 59-year-old brother was taken into police custody and transported to Lima Regional Hospital for medical treatment. He remains under police guard as he assists with the ongoing investigation.
