A tragic accident on Sunday night along the Lima Sands Access Road has claimed the life of 17-year-old Sudesh John. The youth was riding an unregistered motorcycle with a 21-year-old pillion rider when the motorcycle collided with a motorcar, identified as PAD 3341, which was driven by a 44-year-old man associated with the Regional Democratic Council of Region Two.

According to the car driver, he was traveling south while the motorcycle was heading north when the two vehicles collided. The driver reported that the motorcycle had no lights on, and neither the motorcyclist nor the pillion rider was wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Both riders were promptly taken to the Lima Regional Hospital, where John was pronounced dead. The condition of the pillion rider remains serious, and he is currently hospitalized.
Authorities are investigating the incident further to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. This tragic event highlights the importance of road safety, particularly the necessity of proper lighting and protective gear when riding motorcycles.
