Aleena Preetam, the 14-year-old girl who tragically passed away several days ago, died from heart failure and anaemia. This was confirmed by an autopsy conducted by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh. Following the autopsy, her body was returned to the family for burial.

Preetam died sometime between 7:30 PM on Sunday, February 22, and 5:30 AM on Monday, February 23, at her residence in Supenaam, Essequibo Coast. Preliminary investigations indicated that the teen, who lived with her parents and her one-month-old child, was last seen alive on Sunday evening. Family members attempted to wake her on Monday morning but discovered she was unresponsive.
She was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. Although her body was examined, no marks of violence were found.
Police Headquarters has stated that investigations are ongoing and will include all relevant offences under the law related to the circumstances surrounding her death. The recent birth of her child raises further concerns about her safety and well-being during this critical time.
