HGP Nightly News Reports | A heartbreaking incident has occurred in the Enterprise community, where two young children have tragically drowned after reportedly swimming in a trench behind the Guyana Water Inc. pump station.
The incident unfolded earlier today as the children were playing in the water. Preliminary reports indicate that the girl encountered difficulties while swimming, prompting the boy to attempt a rescue. Unfortunately, both children submerged and did not resurface.
Residents in the area quickly raised the alarm, and efforts were made to retrieve the children from the trench. Tragically, their bodies were later recovered.
The community is mourning this devastating loss.
