Preliminary investigations reveal that Kenneth was traveling west along the northern drive lane of Aubrey Barker Road at a high speed. As he approached the Mandela Avenue Roundabout, he attempted a left turn onto the Nelson Mandela Avenue to Eccles Inter-Link Road but lost control. The vehicle collided with a concrete median, flipping multiple times before coming to a stop.

Both Kenneth and Kelly were ejected from the vehicle during the crash and were found unconscious on the roadway. Sadly, they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency Medical Services and the Guyana Fire Service were called to the scene, where they managed to extract a teenage occupant who was trapped in the wreckage. This teenager was transported to Georgetown Public Hospital and remains hospitalized.

The bodies of Kenneth and Kelly Johnson have been taken to the mortuary, awaiting post-mortem examinations. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of an ongoing investigation into the fatal incident.
