Police in Regional Division #10 are investigating an alleged murder that took place on March 5, 2026, around 17:00 hrs at Mackenzie Market, resulting in the death of 59-year-old Ray London, a laborer from South Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

Preliminary investigations indicate that London and another male, a 41-year-old carpenter from Wismar, were known to each other and had engaged in previous disagreements. It is alleged that during an altercation, the suspect armed himself with a knife and inflicted a stab wound to the left side of London’s lower abdomen.
London was transported to the Linden Hospital Complex for medical attention before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on March 6, 2026, at approximately 05:33 hrs.
The deceased’s body has been taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
Following the incident, police contacted and arrested the suspect, who is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations. Further inquiries are being conducted to gather additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the altercation.
