Police in Regional Division #8 are investigating the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis found during an operation conducted at the Mahdia Arcade on Friday, April 10, 2026.
During the exercise, which was carried out between 09:00 and 10:50 hours, ranks conducted searches in and around the Mahdia Arcade. Officers discovered a bulky black plastic bag containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis, hidden in an abandoned area beneath old wood and plastic.
The suspected cannabis was taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where it was weighed and found to amount to 100 grams before being lodged as evidence.
No arrest has been made. Investigations are ongoing.
