The Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan, MSS, along with Officers and Ranks of the GDF, extended congratulations to Lieutenant Wade on his successful completion of the Modularised Initial Officer Training Course Number 40 (MIOT 40).

Conducted from September 22, 2025 to April 2, 2026, the course was delivered across four progressive six-week modules, culminating in a series of comprehensive summative assessments. It is designed to equip junior officers with essential skills in leadership, command, and operational performance.

Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to diverse training environments and engaged with international peers, fostering professional growth and a broader understanding of contemporary military operations.

The GDF said the achievement reflects its commitment to strengthening the Air Corps’ operational capacity through world-class training and strategic international partnerships. The Force noted that producing officers of the highest calibre remains crucial to leadership effectiveness, mission readiness, and the overall execution of its mandate.

Lieutenant Wade’s graduation is described as a significant step forward, underscoring the importance of continuous professional development as the GDF works toward building a modern and adaptable military.
