Lennard Pompey, a 43-year-old electrician residing in Culvert City, Lethem, appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, to answer a charge of trespassing on an aerodrome.
The charge was brought against Pompey for violating Section 83(1) of the Civil Aviation Act.
Pompey entered a plea of guilty to the charge. Consequently, Magistrate Chandan imposed a fine of $300,000. In the event that he fails to pay the fine, Pompey will be required to serve a three-month term of imprisonment.
