1. Immigration Officer
Introduction: Saipem has an exciting opportunity for an Immigration Officer to join our team. The Immigration Officer will work under the supervision of the Personnel Logistics/Local Sustainability Coordinator and HR Lead, serving as the main point of contact at the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding Saipem’s immigration process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/public management
- Permanent Contract
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar field
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or similar)
- Verbal/written/interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Guyana’s immigration regulations
- Location: Georgetown
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as the main point of contact at the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding Saipem’s immigration process.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary immigration regulations.
- Review and analyze changes in regulations that could impact the immigration process.
- Provide Immigration Liaisons with pertinent documentation and guidance when necessary.
- Regularly update and monitor the Immigration Tracker to ensure document validity.
- Liaise with international HR Representatives on processes, status updates, and requirements.
- Oversee the management of Immigration Processes.
- Liaise with the Offshore Team to ensure timely receipt of personnel passports.
- Provide updates to the project management team on application status and immigration issues.
- Support the team with non-immigration-related activities as required.

2. HR Officer
Introduction: Saipem is seeking an HR Officer to administer the Company’s global mobility policies and procedures. The HR Officer will work under the supervision of the HR Lead and play a vital role in managing human resources and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management/business/economics/law
- Permanent Contract
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar field
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or similar)
- Verbal/written/interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Guyana’s immigration regulations and labour laws
- Location: Georgetown
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop strategies to identify and increase the use of human resources in the companies operating in Guyana.
- Build professional relationships with key personnel.
- Manage the Grievance Mechanism, including conducting reviews and reporting on grievances.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Liaise with local immigration organizations and other authorities for visa and permit issuance.
- Facilitate local relationships necessary for operations, including Sustainability matters Support.
- Contribute to the local development and dissemination of Saipem’s Sustainability culture.
- Provide HR reporting to interested parties.
- Liaise with agencies for job vacancy postings and coordinate interviews.
- Assist with the interview process and conduct New Hire Orientations.
- Coordinate pre-employment physical/drug exams and reconcile invoices.
- Utilize SAP for administrative tasks.
