30-Year-Old West Berbice Man Charged for Assaulting Police Rank

Akeem Smith, a 30-year-old reservist soldier from West Coast Berbice, was charged on Monday, June 2, 2025, and remanded to prison for assaulting a police rank. Smith appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Sunil Scarce, facing the following charges:
