A 24-year-old vendor and mother of four, Alisha Adams, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Monday to answer a charge of felonious wounding. She was granted bail in the amount of $75,000.

Adams, residing at Lot 42 Waini Street, Meadowbrook Gardens, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her by Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore. The charge alleges that on April 5, 2025, at Water Street, Stabroek, Adams unlawfully and maliciously wounded Jevenie Boutrim.
She was represented by attorney Lawrence Harris during the proceedings. The case has been adjourned to July 14, 2025, for further consideration.
