Sharon Singh’s Efforts to Assist Neglected Horse

Animal Welfare Activists of Guyana (AWAG) shared a heartfelt update on their Facebook page regarding Sharon Singh of Zeelugt, who recently took action to help a neglected horse in the Cornelia Ida area.

Equipped with her AWAG ID badge, Sharon traveled by taxi with essential supplies, including water and grass for the horse. However, upon arrival, she discovered that the horse’s owner had already relocated the animal, possibly in response to discussions about its condition on social media.

Despite already caring for 26 kittens and 57 cats at her home, Sharon prioritized the welfare of the horse and made the trip to provide assistance. AWAG is encouraging community members to support her efforts through donations.

The post also highlighted a potential solution for local horse owners, suggesting that they plant fast-growing shady almond trees in grazing areas, as the Cornelia Ida region lacks sufficient shade for animals.

Sharon’s dedication exemplifies the commitment of animal welfare advocates in Guyana, and the community’s support can further enhance these noble efforts.
