Terrence Campbell Among APNU Candidates for September 1 Elections

  • News

Businessman Terrence Campbell has been confirmed as a candidate for A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), which was the first political party to submit its list for the upcoming General and Regional Elections on September 1, 2025. APNU is one of 22 parties contesting these elections.

APNU Leader Aubrey Norton highlighted the party’s strong lineup, noting that it features a significant number of young individuals who are well-versed in politics. “We have a strong team. I believe we have the best team on the list,” Norton stated to the media following the submission of the party’s candidate list.

In addition to Terrence Campbell, the APNU list includes notable figures such as attorney Dr. Dexter Todd, former Deputy Commissioner of Police Paul Williams, and businessman Saiku Andrews. Norton described the list as “well-balanced,” emphasizing the inclusion of candidates who understand the political landscape.

“Our support is intact,” Norton affirmed, expressing confidence in the party’s grassroots engagement. “I feel energized. Our support base has been activated. We don’t have to pay anybody to come here. Everyone that is here is here on their own free will,” he added.

Accompanying Norton were APNU Prime Ministerial Candidate Juretha Fernandes and Vice Presidential hopeful Ganesh Mahipaul. When asked about her readiness for the role, Fernandes remarked that it is one she has prepared for “the majority” of her life.

As the elections draw near, APNU’s leadership is focused on mobilizing support and solidifying their position in the political arena.
