In a video shared on social media, Antonio Ahmad addressed his followers regarding an incident that occurred yesterday in Hague Backdam, which he described as a display of “uncivilized behavior.” Ahmad expressed his decision to step away from political involvement, citing a rise in hate and violence in the country.

Withdrawal from Politics: Ahmad announced he would no longer support any political party, stating, “I do not want to be part of this hatred that is currently going on.”

Condemnation of Violence: He criticized the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) for not condemning violence among their supporters, emphasizing that everyone has the right to display political symbols, like flags, peacefully.

Response to the Incident: Ahmad reported that he documented the incident on his phone, which he believes helped clarify the situation. He praised the police for their professionalism during the aftermath, noting that three individuals were charged in relation to the incident while he was not.

Addressing Rumors: Ahmad expressed frustration over rumors regarding his character, insisting that anyone who labels him a “criminal” or “smuggler” should provide evidence to support their claims.

Focus on Business: He stated his intention to remove all political content from his social media and concentrate on his business instead. He warned that any further victimization would lead him to consider legal action.

Ahmad concluded his message by urging everyone to cease the violence, emphasizing the need for civility and respect among citizens. He encouraged his followers to behave responsibly and to prioritize peace within the community.
