The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has issued a press release reminding all stakeholders about the importance of maintaining the integrity of the electoral process during the upcoming General and Regional Elections on September 1, 2025.

In the statement dated August 4, 2025, GECOM emphasized the significance of protecting voters’ rights and ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election. The Commission highlighted that influencing or attempting to influence voters, or disclosing any information about a voter’s choices, is a serious offence.
