The Guyana Police Force (GPF) recently celebrated the retirement of Inspector Stacey Alleyne, who has honorably served the nation for 32 years, making significant contributions across various key departments and stations.

Inspector Alleyne, Enlistment CS# 9026 / Regular Force No. 16148, began her law enforcement career after transitioning from the Special Constabulary to General Duty. Her unwavering dedication and professionalism enabled her to rise steadily through the ranks.
Throughout her impressive career, Inspector Alleyne served in numerous strategic locations, including the Brickdam Traffic Department, Operations Room, Ruimveldt Police Station, Registry, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters. Most recently, she concluded her service in the Welfare Department, where she also contributed to the Georgetown Public Hospital outpost.
Her tenure in the CID was particularly notable, as she played a vital role in units such as the Criminal Records Office, Juvenile Branch, and Narcotics Branch. Reflecting on her experiences, Inspector Alleyne acknowledged the challenges she faced but emphasized the immense knowledge and professional growth gained during that time.
In her final posting at the Welfare Department, often misunderstood as a place of ease, she clarified, “People see it as relaxation mode, but there’s a great deal of accountability and responsibility involved.” Her commitment to supporting the well-being and morale of her colleagues was evident throughout her service.
As she embarks on her well-deserved retirement, Inspector Alleyne leaves behind a legacy of service, discipline, and resilience.
