On the eve of voting for the Police, Army, and Prison Service, PPP/C General Secretary and Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo urged servicemen and women to judge parties by their track records.

“You can trust us, because we did what we promised,” he stated, highlighting restored benefits and improvements under the PPP/C government.
As the Disciplined Forces prepare to cast their votes on August 22, Jagdeo reminded them of the APNU+AFC coalition’s failures to deliver on promises made in 2015, including job creation and support for security forces. He criticized the coalition for scrapping the one-month tax-free bonus for servicemen, a benefit he reinstated.
Jagdeo emphasized that under the PPP/C, the tax-free bonus and salaries have been protected, with significant investments in police facilities. He asserted that the contrast is clear: the PPP/C has delivered, while the APNU+AFC has not, expressing confidence that many in uniform will support the PPP/C.
