Government pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh conducted the examination. According to reports, the findings noted evidence of sharp, blunt force injuries on the boy’s body that are consistent with the use of a knife.

The autopsy results follow the weekend confirmation from Deputy Commissioner and Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum that a 23-year-old suspect has confessed to the murder. The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday after detectives presented digital evidence placing him at the crime scene during the time of the attack.

Upon being confronted with the evidence, the suspect reportedly confessed to the gruesome details of the incident. He also identified a knife recovered by investigators at the scene as the weapon used to kill the child and assault his 72-year-old great-grandmother.

The child’s remains have been handed over to his family to proceed with funeral arrangements. The elderly survivor remains under medical care for injuries sustained during the attack. The police investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the crime remains active.
