Police are investigating a gruesome homicide at Honey Camp Landing, where a man known only by the alias “Curry” was allegedly beaten and burnt to death by a group of men on Sunday, June 8, 2026.

The deceased, who was reportedly homeless and worked odd jobs in the area, was confronted by several men between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. The group accused him of theft.
According to reports from Police Headquarters, the confrontation escalated into a lethal assault. The suspects allegedly:
Placed a belt around the victim’s neck and dragged him.
Dealt him several blows using a spade, cutlasses, and pieces of wood.
Poured an acidic substance on him.
The perpetrators then abandoned the injured man on the sand near a disused shop and fled the area. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim’s body face-down, bearing severe abrasions and burn marks.
The investigation has moved quickly, with detectives securing multiple statements and taking four suspects into custody.
Authorities are currently searching for two additional individuals believed to be involved in the attack. The four men in custody are assisting investigators as the probe into this fatal act of vigilante violence continues.
