My fellow Guyanese,I stand before you today not as a politician, but as a son of this soil—proud, humbled, and deeply concerned. I come to you as a citizen dedicated to justice, education, and nation-building. Guyana, our beautiful and blessed country, is at a crossroads. One path leads to more of the same: corruption, mismanagement, inequality, and division. The other leads to a new Guyana built on accountability, justice, unity, and dignity. I say to you today, with conviction: Aubrey C. Norton and Juretha Fernandes are the leaders we need for this new Guyana.

Let us be honest. We are a nation rich in potential and resources, sitting on rivers of oil and fields of gold. Yet our youth are unemployed or fleeing. We are a democracy in name, but our institutions are being hollowed out, the Constitution disregarded, and public trust shattered.
We have seen public contracts handed to friends of those in power without transparency. Communities of Afro-Guyanese, Indo-Guyanese, and Indigenous people have been divided and discarded for political gain. Parents struggle to provide their children with the education they deserve, while those in power live lavishly off taxpayer money. The wealth from our oil has not transformed our lives; it has been hoarded or misused. How much longer must we endure this?
This is our reality, and we must confront it. The old ways have failed us. We cannot fix a broken system with the same hands that broke it. It is time for a different kind of leadership—one grounded in principle and a vision for change. Norton and Fernandes represent that change.
I have seen leaders come and go, but rarely do we find a team that combines integrity, experience, and a genuine love for the people. They are driven by purpose, not power. They listen, they care, and they are ready to make the hard decisions that will move this nation forward for all. That is why I urge you: Give this team your vote. Give them your trust. Give Guyana a fighting chance.
This election is not just about politics; it is about our survival as a people. It is about our children’s future, their safety, and their well-being. I speak to the mother in Berbice who must choose between food and medicine. I speak to the father in Linden who helped build this nation’s industry but was cast aside. I speak to the youth in Sophia and Lethem who wonder if their degrees will hold value. I speak to police officers who risk their lives while those in power act with impunity. We are not enemies; we are each other’s hope.
So I call on you: rise up, stand up, and show up. Let September be the month when Guyana chooses courage over comfort, truth over lies, and justice over political trickery. Let this election be a declaration: Enough corruption. Enough inequality. Enough division. Enough disrespect for our people. Let us say, “We will no longer be used.”
Guyana is not poor; it has been poorly led. Our people are not weak; they have been weakened by poor leadership. But the fire in this nation’s soul cannot be extinguished. No lie, no bribe, and no propaganda can suppress what is rising in this land.
Let us give this team the opportunity to lead a new Guyana. Let us reclaim our destiny and rebuild our Republic on the foundation of justice and truth. Let this moment be remembered not as a breaking point, but as a turning point.
God bless you, and may God forever bless the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
