Foulis, East Coast Demerara – A 29-year-old construction worker, identified as Rondell Clarke, was fatally shot on Sunday night, allegedly by a 25-year-old security guard employed by Force Security Service.

The shooting occurred between 7:00 PM and 7:45 PM in the Foulis community, although the circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear. The security guard has been taken into custody and is currently under investigation for murder.
According to a statement from the Police, immediately following the shooting, Clarke was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries in the Emergency Room.
The security guard involved in the incident was arrested at the scene, and his firearm has been confiscated for further examination.
In the aftermath of the shooting, a large crowd gathered outside the Cove and John Police Station to protest, expressing their outrage and demanding justice. Conflicting accounts of the incident have emerged, prompting further scrutiny.
