Preparations are in full swing for the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the Ninth Executive President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, as he embarks on his second term. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 7, at 10 AM at State House, pending an official declaration from the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM).

Thousands of guests are expected to attend, and attendees are advised to be seated by 9:30 AM. Robust security measures will be in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, including a strict prohibition on carrying weapons, including licensed firearms.
Guests are also requested to avoid bringing bags and to limit personal items to essentials, facilitating smoother security checks and a more efficient entry process. Visitors will be directed to the Carmichael Street entrance for access to State House.
Parking will be available along the eastern and western carriageways of Carmichael Street, as well as beyond Camp and Vlissengen Road, for those attending the cultural ceremony on the seawall.
During the inauguration, President Ali will deliver a feature address, marking the official start of his second term. Following the ceremony, he will be joined by a Joint Services procession to the Kingston Seawall Esplanade for a brunch and cultural display from 11 AM to 1 PM.
