Press Release: Bulky Waste Removal in Kingston/Tiger Bay Paused

The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development informs residents of Kingston and Tiger Bay that the ongoing bulky waste removal exercise has been temporarily paused for the remainder of the day due to significant traffic congestion in the area.

As of now, crews have successfully removed 23 truckloads of bulky waste, demonstrating steady progress in this important cleanup initiative.

The operation will resume at midnight and continue until 5 AM, during which time traffic is expected to ease, allowing for a smoother and more efficient continuation.

The Ministry appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and road users as it continues to support the Government’s commitment to a cleaner, greener Georgetown.
