Deoraj Jaggernauth, a 35-year-old gold miner from Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo, has been charged with possession of ammunition without a license following an incident that occurred on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
On Monday, December 8, 2025, Jaggernauth appeared before His Worship Tariq Mohamed at the Bartica Magistrates’ Court. The charge, which contravenes Section 62(2)(a) of the Firearm Act Chapter 16:05, was read to him. Jaggernauth pleaded not guilty to the accusation.
He was granted bail in the amount of $100,000 GYD, and the matter has been adjourned until January 26, 2026, for further proceedings.
