Police have arrested three males in connection with the assault of a 16-year-old student outside Zeeburg Secondary School on Wednesday. The detained suspects include two juveniles, aged 16 and 15, and a 19-year-old male.

According to Police Headquarters, the schoolboy was attacked by multiple individuals who slapped him in the face and struck him with a cutlass and a rope. The violent incident was recorded and widely shared on social media.
In response to the incident, Education Minister Sonia Parag visited the school on Thursday. She emphasized that a tougher stance will be enforced against such acts of violence. The Minister acknowledged that this incident is part of a broader pattern of similar occurrences being reported on social media, assuring the public that authorities are treating these matters with the utmost seriousness.
The police continue their investigations into the assault as community concerns grow regarding student safety.
