Investigators probing the reported death of wanted man Jamal “Skinny” Bourne have recovered what they believe to be his remains in Linden. The remains will undergo forensic analysis to confirm their identity.

Police Headquarters confirmed that the discovery occurred during an operation on Wednesday at Three Miles, Wisroc Housing Scheme, Wismar. Authorities examined a burnt area and found suspected human remains, including ashes and bones.
In addition to the remains, investigators searched a nearby wooden structure and uncovered a suspected pistol with an empty magazine, three shotgun cartridges, a spent 9mm shell, knives, clothing, and other items. Three toy rifles were also located in nearby bushes.
Six individuals were arrested during the operation and are currently in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Reports from the News Room indicated that the suspects claimed Bourne fatally shot himself and that they subsequently moved his body into the bushes and burned it. After the incident, the remains were reportedly disposed of in a creek.
One female suspect indicated to the police that she was washing bedsheets by a nearby creek when she heard what sounded like a gunshot. Upon returning to the house, she claimed to have found Bourne lying motionless, surrounded by others involved in the burning of his body.
Another suspect shared that Bourne had expressed fears for his life in the days leading up to his death and had instructed him to record a live video on Facebook. The suspect corroborated the account of the body disposal provided by the female suspect.
Authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bourne’s death, as the situation develops.
