A tragic traffic accident on the Bharrat Jagdeo Demerara Harbour Bridge has resulted in one man dead and another in critical condition. The deceased has been identified as Scott Dorwart from Grove, East Bank Demerara.
According to police reports, the accident occurred when a truck laden with cement was traveling toward the western side of the bridge and reportedly encountered mechanical problems. Preliminary investigations suggest that the truck rolled down the bridge, causing significant damage to several vehicles in its path.
