Bond emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports towards advancing the younger population. “Run to the PPP/C, young people of this country. Honourable Steven Jacobs and Honourable Minister (Charles) Ramson, I’ve had a chance to work with them; we visited grounds and stadiums, and this is not just to benefit a few; it’s to benefit the young people of this country,” he asserted.

He referenced specific initiatives, such as the Tiger Bay shade house project initiated by President Dr. Irfaan Ali, the development of the Palmyra Stadium in Berbice, and a training program for youths in Haslington. Bond urged young citizens to take advantage of these opportunities.

At a recent meeting in Haslington, he noted that hundreds of young individuals were accommodated with programs under the Board of Industrial Training while receiving stipends. “They give you a stipend, they give you a jersey, and they provide transport. Young people, take advantage of this,” he stated.

Reflecting on his own experience, Bond shared that he benefited from a scholarship to study law under the PPP/C, reinforcing his message that the current administration is actively supporting youth development.

He cautioned the young audience to be wary of claims suggesting that Budget 2026 lacks provisions for them, insisting that the PPP/C remains dedicated to supporting their ongoing development.
