Adesh Mohan appeared before Magistrate Rondell Weaver at the Wales Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 31, 2026, to face a charge of causing death by dangerous driving, contrary to Section 35(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, as amended.

Mohan pleaded not guilty to the charge. The court granted him $500,000 cash bail, with the condition that he report to the Wales Police Station on the first Friday of every month.

The matter has been adjourned to October 12, 2026, for the continuation of proceedings.

The charge stems from a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday, March 5, 2026, along the Canal #2 Public Road. According to police investigations, the collision involved motor car PWW 7682, driven by Mohan, and motorcycle CJ 4015, operated by Carl Cummings.

Cummings sustained severe injuries during the crash and ultimately succumbed to them, leading to the months-long investigation and subsequent charges brought against the driver this week.
