Three individuals are currently in custody for the murder of Jenny Mohammed, whose body was discovered along the new Eccles-Ogle Highway yesterday. The suspects include Mohammed’s husband, daughter, and son-in-law.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the daughter and son-in-law have confessed to the murder, which they claim occurred on June 10. Initially reported missing by her relatives, Mohammed’s case took a grim turn when investigators discovered blood in one of the rooms of her home in Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara.
According to the suspects’ statements, they plotted to kill Mohammed due to ongoing abuse they and their child allegedly suffered at her hands. The husband is also said to have been involved in the plan.
Following their confession, the daughter and son-in-law led police to the location where they had disposed of Mohammed’s body. The remains were found in a garbage bag, wrapped in tarpaulin, with a rope tied around the neck and multiple stab wounds.
Authorities have also recovered the murder weapon, a knife, as investigations continue. The case has shocked the community, and further details are expected as police delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
