The University of Guyana (UG) has officially opened applications for its 2025–2026 Entrance Examinations under the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE) program. This initiative is designed for individuals who do not meet the traditional entry requirements but still wish to pursue higher education at the university.
Applicants are encouraged to verify their eligibility by answering the following questions:
- Are you mature (21 years and older)?
- Do you have work experience in your intended field of study?
- Do you possess a certificate or diploma from institutions such as The Burrowes School of Art, Critchlow Labour College, or any Technical Institute?
- Are you a registered nurse without relevant passes in Mathematics, English, or Science?
If prospective students answer “yes” to any of the above, they may qualify to take the UGEE, which is being offered online for convenience.
UGEE Online Schedule:
- Tutorials: July 8 to July 21, 2025
- Examinations: July 25, July 28, and July 30, 2025
