The PPP/C has announced plans for a state-of-the-art aviation school in its 2025 manifesto, aiming to train and certify local personnel, including pilots and engineers.

Launched at the Pegasus Corporate Center, the manifesto highlights that the facility will reduce the need for costly overseas training and will be developed in collaboration with the private sector, though the location remains undisclosed.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize Guyana’s aviation sector, which is vital for the expanding economy. Recent government actions include establishing new international flight routes and upgrading hinterland airstrips, benefiting Indigenous communities and businesses.
If re-elected on September 1, the PPP/C pledges to deliver the aviation school and enhance air transport infrastructure, including a new terminal at Cheddi Jagan International Airport and improvements at Lethem and Rose Hall/Canje airports, to further stimulate economic growth.
