Hello welcome back to my world of blogging and today like every other day i want to share an idea with you all. This idea will open your eyes to how the internet works. Today we will be discussing how to make money blogging in 2024 and this method can be duplicated and reused in 2025, 2026,2027 etc.
Blogging has been around for ages but many out there do not take the time to study how blogging actually works. I did some research a while back and figured that putting content or information online remains forever. And google appreciates individuals who put content online. The idea of blogging is to put information that people may search for. Think of it as someone opening google and searching for a way to get rid of headaches.
Below I will show you a screen shot of what truly happens when someone searches for a query in google. In the screenshot you will notice I searched for a query or in blogging terms i searched for a long tail keyword ” ways to get rid of headaches”
The way how google works is it displays results that provide solutions or answers to what persons are searching for, So most times the results you see in google is based on the article websites put out to answer the questions you may have. Apart from websites answering those questions you may have, there are others who utilized the sponsored services that google offers, With sponsored articles it may not be directly the answer you need but as persons pay to have their results show on the google first page. It means more persons will interract with that first result they see on google. Below I will attach another screenshot of another google search i did and i will show you exactly what i mean by websites utilizing google paid services to have their article show up first on the search results.
Web hosting platforms spends alot of money in google to have their website show up first in google. Reason being these companies have a subscription based model that allows them to make back the money they spend on ads. For example if they are paying google $5000 usd in ads for the month, when customers sign up they are guaranteed to make back that money over the long run as customers remain paying customers.
Okay so that’s enough of me explaining what happens when persons search for answers in google. How can you take advantage of all of this? . Well first you need figure out what type of blog/website you want to create. After researching for a number of years i finally figured out that making money blogging really comes down to the niche you choose. Below I will show you the top niche based websites that makes the most money online. The list below is based on top paying adsense keywords.
If you haven’t figured as yet the websites that makes the most money is based on the companies that run the most ads in google. See one of the ways you are able to make money with your website is through the google adsense program. Google charges advertisers according to the number of clicks on ads. As a blogger seeking blog AdSense earnings, you get 68 percent of the number of clicks with AdSense for content, and for AdSense for search, you get 51 percent of the revenue
Basically what that means as these companies pay google, you get a cut of the revenue for the ads that are displayed on your website. So by choosing one of the top paying adsense keywords, your blog can be getting alot of money based on the keywords being displayed in your article. In layman terms if you talk about insurance, its more likely google will display an insurance related ad on your blog. If persons were to click on the ad in your article or signs up to an insruance company you can earn that way.
What to do after Choosing your Niche ?
Congrats you made up your mind on a niche, now its time to do keyword research and start creating articles to place on your blog. There are several keyword research tools out there but believe me using social media is the best way to figure out what is trending and what persons are searching for. There are paid tools that allows you to find keywords like Semrush and Ahrefs but today I will guide you to a free platform its called google trends.
As you can see in the screenshot, Google trends allows you to add a keyword and it produce results world wide, It lets you know which country has the highest search volume and it also provides some keywords in which people search for the most. In other words you can use this information to write blogs/articles on topics to target a specific country or in general. you can also use youtube to find creative ideas for your blog. Youtube ranks second in terms of most used platform for search queries while tiktok is currently ranking third. So using any of these platforms will allow you to find ideas to blog about. Here is an example so lets say you decided to make a crypto currency blog. You can write an article giving your opinion on where you think bitcoin will soar in the next 4 years. This aritcle will attract alot of readers but you can monetize the blog post by either sharing links to a crypto wallet platform like binance. They will pay you for every one who signs up to store their crypto currency. Additionally if your article is gaining a massive amount of readers google will list companies banners in between your article giving you more money.
How to set up your Website ?
To set up your website you can start by purchasing a domain and hosting from Hostinger, (this is an affiliate link) Go Daddy or Any other Hosting platform. Once you purchase your domain and hosting you can do some youtube research on how to set up your site, integrate it with google search console and google analytics( these two platforms are important to allow your articles to be discovered in google. If you feel the information is too much you can always connect with me on linkedin and i can assit you with setting up your blog if needed. ( I may request a fee to do so since im a busy person).
Congratulations you now have a website. Before i explain any further let me also say there are free platforms you can create your website on but it is important to note that these websites may not give you the flexibility you need to be a full time blogger. Just to list a few you can sign up to blogger.com . With blogger you wont have to pay for hosting but you may want to purchase a custom domain name you can do so using namecheap (Affiliate Link)
So now that you have your website up and running in order to monetize your website with google adsense you need 20 written articles that are not plagiarized and you also need to have your articles indexed on google search console. Once indexed it means your articles can be discovered on google search.
Acceptance into the google adsense program can take a month or less with consistent posting. My suggestion is to take the first week in your blogging journey to list out your content ideas and start blogging. You can use free website like https://www.pexels.com/ to use free royalty free images to add to your blog.
Can i Monetize my website immediately ?
There are ways to monetize your blog immediately and one of the platforms i found that allows you to do so is Adsterra One thing i like about Adsterra is the ability to monetize any social media platform. This means you can add your adsterra link to your facebook story and make money, your whatsapp story and make money or you can simply add the banner ads to your free blogger blog and send traffic to that blog and you can be generating money. (Like before i am a busy person so i may inquire a fee to sit and help you set it up but you can do your own research and set it up on your own).
Other ways to monetize your website
Okay so now that i have explained the possibilities of monetizing your blog/website what are the other ways to make money with your blog in 2024 ? Well i spoke about affiliate marketing previously in my last article and one of the ways you can earn money online is through the amazon affiliate program . With this program you can write product reviews articles and make money with amazon and you can make money with adsense/adsterra when persons visit your blog. You can See it as a way to earn twice. I figured this out a while back and its so convenient to get paid for viewers as well as sales.
Additionally once you have a website you can sell banner ads on your website to companies. Thats one way to monetize your website as brands will pay you to place a photo on the home page of your website. You can also Sell hosting to others.
When you register for an account on hostinger, they allow you to host up to 100 websites. It means you can host others website and make money. While its a great way to earn from your web hosting plan, many folks are unware of this possibility. But try it out today. I will make a seperate blog post explaining the process.
Here are some extra ways to monetize your Blog/Website
Display Advertising: Join ad networks like Google AdSense or Media.net to display ads on your blog.
Affiliate Marketing: Promote products or services relevant to your audience and earn a commission for each sale made through your affiliate links. (Amazon , ebay , clickbank , digistore24)
Sponsored Content: Partner with brands to create sponsored posts or reviews in exchange for payment.
Sell Ad Space Directly: Instead of using ad networks, negotiate directly with advertisers to place their ads on your blog.
Membership/Subscription Model: Offer premium content or resources to subscribers who pay a monthly or annual fee. For this you will need a wordpress website to add a paywall.
Ebooks: Write and sell ebooks on topics related to your blog’s niche. You can learn more about this by reading my article on how to sell books on amazon.
Online Courses: Create and sell online courses or workshops based on your expertise.
Consulting or Coaching Services: Offer one-on-one consulting or coaching sessions to your audience for a fee.
Freelance Services: Advertise your freelance services (e.g., writing, graphic design) on your blog.
Sponsored Reviews: Get paid to review products or services relevant to your audience.

My closing Remarks
Blogging is a great way to make money but the process requires dedication, effort and time. There are major successful bloggers out there here are some keypoints to note if you must start blogging :
- Your blog will only attract visitors if the information your provide is helpful
- Revenue generated from your blog will highly be dependent on the location of your readers there are some countries have higher cpc payouts than others.
- Blogging is a journey so once you start you must put in that effort and show up as often as possible
- Earnings is based on the niche of your website, target those high paying niches and your profits will be guaranteed.
- Combine Blogging with Affiliate Marketing and Double your income ( Consistency is important )
- Free blog sites are available but they are not scalable. Also if you must use a fre website hosting you must purchase a domain name in order for google to rank your website
- Share your website blog post on social media for more reach, facebook, pinterest , reddit and medium.com
- Collab with other bloggers in your niche to build backlinks and domain authority
- Avoid plagiarism for google hates duplicate content and they will not rank your article
- Never Click on your own ads when your website is monetized
- Learn the skill of web design and you can make a consistent flow of new clients if you choose to help others set up their blog/website ( It is very lucrative to make websites for clients in the USA/Canda by signing up for an account on fiverr.com
