ABC News Reports | Chadwick Boseman, who passed away from colon cancer in 2020 at age 43, will be honored posthumously with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled for November 20, 2025.

Director Ryan Coogler and actress Viola Davis will speak at the event, with Boseman’s widow, Simone Ledward-Boseman, accepting the honor on his behalf.
Boseman made his film debut in 2008’s “The Express” and rose to fame as King T’Challa in Marvel’s “Black Panther.” His legacy includes roles in “42,” “21 Bridges,” and “Da 5 Bloods,” along with television appearances in shows like “Lincoln Heights” and “Justified.” He earned a posthumous Primetime Emmy Award for his voice work in the Marvel series “What If…?”.
Boseman battled cancer for several years before his passing.
