GPF Receives 41 New Vehicles

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has enhanced its mobility with the addition of 21 new Toyota Hilux Double Cab pickups and 20 Honda XR 150 motorcycles. The vehicles were acquired by the Government of Guyana through the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The handing-over ceremony took place at the Tactical Services Unit, attended by Police Commissioner Clifton Hicken and other senior officials.

Deputy Commissioner of Operations Errol Watts highlighted that these vehicles will improve response times to crime and support preparations for the upcoming General and Regional Elections on September 1. Commissioner Hicken expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing that these resources will enhance public service and operational readiness.
