Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) has announced the signing of two of Guyana’s standout cricketers as official Brand Ambassadors for its locally produced beverage brands, in what the company describes as a significant investment in the future of Guyanese cricket.

Gudakesh Motie will serve as Brand Ambassador for Savannah Milk, while Sheneta Grimmond will represent TOPCO Juice Drinks. Both athletes will feature in marketing campaigns, community outreach initiatives and promotional activities throughout the year.
DDL Marketing Director Sharda Veeren-Chand said the partnerships reflect the company’s commitment to supporting local talent and aligning its brands with individuals who inspire the nation.
“At DDL, supporting local talent is seen as a responsibility. These two cricketers represent the determination and passion that define both our brands and our nation. As they continue to rise in their professional careers, we are proud to stand behind them and invest in the future of Guyanese cricket. We are delighted to welcome them to the TOPCO and Savannah family,” Veeren-Chand said.
Grimmond expressed pride in joining the DDL family. “It’s an honour to partner with DDL and TOPCO, brands that have been part of our country and culture for so many years. I’m proud to represent a company that continues to invest in local talent,” she said.
Motie described the partnership as meaningful on a personal level. “This partnership means a lot to me. Cricket has given me so much, and I’m excited to work with a brand that supports the development of youth and sport in Guyana,” he said.
Both cricketers have firmly established themselves in domestic and international cricket, earning widespread recognition for their exceptional talent — making them, DDL said, natural fits for brands that carry deep roots in Guyanese culture.
