With a mandate to provide safe, adequate, and affordable water supply across Guyana, GWI is seeking motivated applicants for our Operators Trainee Programme who are willing to learn.
This progressive program allows you to become an Association of Board of Certification (ABC) Operator while working at one of our facilities. It requires a four-year commitment from potential trainees, offering multiple opportunities for advancement throughout the company.
THE POSITION: A Trainee Treatment Plant Operator is an entry-level position focusing on learning and understanding how to perform various chemical dosing calculations and analyses, distribution system management, and treatment plant process control activities. The goal is to produce potable water compliant with World Health Organization standards.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Trainees are required to meet a minimum of the following:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Technician Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR
- Have a Sound Secondary Qualification.
