Position: Facilities Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the property portfolio to ensure the preservation of investment values by implementing a proactive life cycle program.
- Provide recommendations to the executive team regarding property acquisitions, disposals, re-gearing, and restructuring tasks.
- Continuously assess the suitability of neighborhoods where facilities are situated for long-term positive investment outcomes.
- Manage project refurbishment initiatives and collaborate closely with other teams to minimize disruptions during projects.
- Supervise the construction and renovation of new/existing bank branches and properties as required.
- Negotiate and renegotiate leases for bank-occupied leased properties in coordination with Executive Management.
- Manage the procurement, installation, and maintenance of various equipment, including alarm systems, air-conditioning units, generators, elevators, security equipment, and more.
- Oversee maintenance contracts for building equipment and manage contracts for facility services like cleaning and pest control.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in an engineering discipline, preferably civil, from an accredited university.
- Five years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in facilities management, purchasing, or construction management, with a background in supervision.
- Educational experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related areas is desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to give and follow instructions effectively.
- Proficiency in writing reports, correspondence, and procedures.
