Dear President Irfaan Ali,
I noted your visit to St. Gabriel’s Primary School on Friday, June 6, 2025. As the images from that visit circulated on social media, many thoughts crossed my mind. One question in particular stood out:
While engaging with the pupils, some of whom appear to be around the same age as Adriana Younge, what went through your mind? Did you pause to reflect on the tragic loss of young Adriana, whose story has shaken not only her family and our nation but also touched hearts around the world?
Mr. President, the family of Adriana Younge, along with countless citizens and members of the international community, continue to wait for justice. Her memory lingers, and so too does the deep sense of pain and unanswered questions surrounding her death.
Your presence among children that day was a reminder of the value and promise our young people hold. I hope it also served as a moment of solemn reflection on the responsibility we all share to protect them and to ensure that justice is neither delayed nor denied.
